One of the most famous schools of Jammu and Kashmir , Christ School Poonch lies in the lap of the mesmerizing Pir-Panjal mountain range beside the pious Pulust river.
Managing Authorities :
Christ School was founded by the CMI fathers from Kerala in the historical city of Poonch in April 1990. Under the able and efficient leadership of Rev. Fr. Joseph Paikada CMI and Fr.Jacob Keekkarikkattu CMI and with the support of efficient and inspiring staff the school flourished in the city of Poonch..he school has gained enormous accomplishments and fame and has been able to maintain its name for the last 30 years of its establishment .It is a private English medium higher secondary school.💜
The motto of the school is - "Be the Light of the World''.The school is based on the holy principles of Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, C.M.I.
Academics:
The school is blessed with some of the brilliant and most affectionate faculty members which is the reason behind the spectacular result that the school provides every year in class 8th,10th and 12th.
Each year, the school produces the top rankers in the state board examinations.

#Xpressions - It is an annual competition among the students of various Houses of the school and is meant to bring about the overall development of the kids . Elocution, Extempore, Debate, Declamation, Dance, Singing etc. are the skills tested in this competition.
#Thought Expo - It is the annual science exhibition in which the students participate to innovate some scientific projects.
Other than these fests ,different festivals like Christmas, Diwali etc. and special occasions like Children's day, Teacher's day, Sports day etc. are also celebrated in the school premises.
School Elections:Each year, the office bearers of the school i.e. the Head Boy, Head Girl, General Captain and the Fine Arts Secretary are chosen from the 10th class students by purely democratic ballet voting.
Educational Tour to Other States :Every year ,the students of class 10th are taken to a 15 days tour to Delhi, Goa and some South Indian cities like Bangalore, Mysore, Hyderabad etc. Those 15 days provide infinite memories to the students which they cherish through out their lives.
